With India ranking 17th in production and 12th in the consumption, the imports of the machine tools have reached RS 76 billion, owning to which the size of the industry is expected to be Rs 2230 billion by 2020, stated the India Brand Equity Foundation.Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the 6th India Machine Tools Show 2015 today, Union Minster for MSMEs Shri Kalraj Mishra said it is important to encourage entrepreneurship and promote start-ups for innovation in machinery and manufacturing industry in India.With a participation of more than 1000 companies from India and at least 100 companies from the top league of capital goods sector, IMTOS has over the years emerged as the country’s leading exhibition on machine tools and automotive technology. The 6th India Machine Tools Show 2015 opened today with the focus of promoting greater innovation and better manufacturing in India’s machine tools sector, with over 150 exhibitors showcasing the innovation Screw Motor Valve Manufacturers in technology and design being undertaken by them. The machine tool Industry in India is now in a position to export general purpose and standard machine tools to even industrially advanced countries. We started this exhibition with the intention to showcase the innovation being done in the manufacturing field. Covering 40 sectors of the machine tools industry, IMTOS witnesses participation of over 20 countries every year. This will also provide a major interface between Indian manufacturers of machine tools and international companies to boost trade and exports implied with ‘Make in India’ drive of the honorable Prime Minister and reduce dependence on import, said the Minister,” the Minister said. The inauguration of the 6th edition of the exhibition was attended by some imminent dignitaries including Shri Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India; Mr. This niche platform aimed to build a strong industry network via sharing of latest trends, solutions, knowledge and vendor development. Organized by K and D Communication Limited, the India Machine Tools Show (IMTOS) 2015 is officially supported by ‘Make in India’ campaign and promises to provide a major interface between Indian manufacturers of machine tools and international companies to boost trade and exports.
